The starting point
AFTERGLOW 01 is our first running sock. It is being developed in Tbilisi and prepared for field tests with runners in Tbilisi and Málaga. These images show a product direction, not stock ready to buy.
We want a pair that makes sense on an everyday run, when an outing gets longer, and on the day you pin on a number. That is a design intention. The work now is to observe what happens in use.
Questions for the first prototype
Does the fit stay in place? Where does cushioning help, and where does it only add bulk? How does instep mesh feel inside different shoes? Does the toe join go unnoticed? What changes after wearing and washing the pair?
A convincing knit photograph is not enough. We want specific observations: where the sock moves, what bothers the runner, when it happens and with which equipment.
What we plan to record
The plan is to capture prototype version, size, shoes, time or distance, conditions and the runner’s comments. Context will help us separate a personal preference from a recurring issue.
We will publish kilometres, tester numbers and other counts only when real data exists and we can explain what it represents. There is no hidden trial total behind the renders on this page.
How to take part
Join the updates and tick the optional box if you would like to test prototypes. It lets us distinguish people following the release from those also interested in field testing.
It does not guarantee a place or a shipping date. When the programme is ready, we will contact potential participants to explain the test and confirm availability. Selection and details come then.
What changes next
Our current directions are White / Electric Blue, Hot Pink / Acid Green and Acid Green / Electric Blue. Colour and construction are still in development.
We will publish what works and what does not, with the context needed to understand it. If something needs another attempt, that is a field note too. We would rather show the process than pretend it is finished.
Quick questions
Have field tests started?
We are preparing the first phase. We are not publishing test results or metrics yet.
Does the checkbox guarantee a prototype?
No. It records your interest so we can contact you when the programme is organised.
Development note: planned work, with no field-test results yet.
